Semblex hosted “Fastener Basics” on May 18 and 19th in the headquarters training facility. Fastener Basics is a two-day training course focused on externally threaded fasteners. As the name implies, it starts with the very basics of proper fastener terminology. It builds on that foundation to include the fastener design elements, the manufacturing process, quality assurance, and a look at how fasteners are used in the point of the use assembly process. The information is presented in an easy-to-understand format that encourages questions and discussions within the group. Facility tours are provided to see firsthand the manufacturing, inspection, and testing processes up close, building on the information presented in the classroom.
A schedule of two additional sessions is planned for the fall of this year.
